Hand soap usual price 99p - current price £4.99 Bog roll £13.99 Isn’t price gouging in a crisis illegal? Disgraceful behaviour. Worst thing is people have actually paid them that as all are sold out.
Depends what they are being charged to get them in their shops. One in Huddersfield sold toilet roll at tenner a pack and a video was of it on social media. He claimed it cost him 9 quid a pack to buy them to sell in his shop. If wholesalers are profiting then shops have no choice.
Premier is my local shop and they always have hoards of stock. This is the same branded stuff they’ve always had and it’s likely been in their basement for 2 months
Some of the things you agree with are really odd. Last week it was greedy millionaire footballers. Now it’s profiteering corner shops. It’s a disgraceful practice and if I had the power they would be fined massively. But they’d probably just pass the fine on by putting all their prices up.
Lets all remember when this is all over...once we have free choice again we can vote with our feet and support the ones who supported us.....
Have they chuff. It’s the owners being greedy profiteering hits, if zi lived there I wouldn’t set foot in it again ever,
Like the garage on Sheffield road that charged £5 a litre in the petrol strike a few years back... they were out of business within 3 months of it blowing over, and rightly so.
Hmm that’s really not good. Compare with my local costcutter which as far as I can tell is charging the same as before and now doing free local deliveries to the isolating elderly. I think for every sports Direct and Premier there are several who are acting admirably and we will remember in the coming months
Needs to be remembered when all this is finally over. No one should use the shop again. Low life like that need to be put out of business.
