    I am also in many ways wishing I could catch it soon and just get it over with. I am fearful of visiting my mum and if I knew I had recovered from it I would feel safer going to see her. Feels like the sword of damocles.

    Studies have shown around 15% of those given the all-clear develop another round of symptoms a short while later. Drs are still trying to work out if that is part of the first infection or a second infection.

    However, around 20% of cases require medical intervention - often respirators. And the mortality rate in the UK is currently 3.5%.
