Just sat waiting for missus to get home from work and idly flicking through youtube

Came across this song, heard it before but didn't realise the Pogues had covered it.

Very sombre, don't want to spoil anyone's night but should be shown every time on TV when the government want to get us involved in yet another conflict

Last song on the seminal "Rum, Sodomy and the Lash", which is 35 years old this year!

War should never be a solution in this day and age.

I'd happily pay my TV licence and any other taxes to never hear the Pogues again.

Wholeheartedly recommend listening to Mike Harding's Bombers Moon album. There's a version of this and an excellent cover of Springsteen's Factory.

I did wonder whether you’d ‘get it’. I didn’t think the musical knowledge was that obscure. No matter. As you say COYR.
