    The last two episodes of Morse, recorded on Wednesday and Thursday night on ITV3 ("The Wench Is Dead" & "The Remorseful Day"). I'd forgotten over the years just how much I enjoyed all the series and the acting abilities of John Thaw. Superb viewing for my wife and I & a sadly missed actor.

    Juts me but never really undestood the casting of John Thaw, good actor though he was. He never seemed to be able to maintain the 'posh' accent and occasionally his vowel sounds lapsed into Jack Regan from The Sweeney'.... as in " OK Tinkerbell you're nicked" (a classic line)

    I respect your alternative opinion, but Thaw was, for me, was a superb actor and I felt his portrayal of Morse was even better than Regan. In fact, I never failed to appreciate & enjoy him in what ever role he played.
