sorry if this has been posted, but I could not see it anywhere on here. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51738801 I would be happy with this .
Morais .87ppg Struber 1.27ppg. That's .4 points per game better. .4 x 46games = over 18 points better over the course of a season. So that's a bit of a difference.
0.87 ppg = 40.02 points over 46 games 1.27 ppg = 58.42 points over 46 games no brainer to see who is the better manager innit.
If he's relegated then isn't all that matters the fact he's failed in his objective? It's also hard to compare points because Struber has had a transfer window and been allowed to bring in a whole host of his preferred players from Austria. Morais didn't have the opportinuity to bring in a single player. Struber will have had practically twice as long to save our season than Morais had. Etc etc. As I said, the important stat is both would have failed yet one was instantly dismissed and the other has been told whilst in a relegation scrap that his job is safe even if he fails which imo significantly your motivation to stay up.
I don't think Struber would want a relegation on his CV. But you have got a point about Morais being given less time though.
I'm sure he wouldn't and that he has plenty of motivation but I imagine a cause in your contract and the threat of losing your job is an extra motivation on top. That's been taken away imo
Or you could look at it that the owners have said, look we've ****** up here we know if we go down it's not your fault so do your best and we'll back you next season. I know I'd do my job better without an axe hanging over my head.
You asked what's the difference between Morais and Struber. Then point out numerous ones yourself. The big difference is that if Morais had got the same number of points as Struber, then we wouldn't go down. Plus I think we weren't in the relegation zone when Morais took over (I may be wrong). We certainly weren't miles adrift.
Bit different doing it privately to publicly though? Think my opinion of them is well-documented, I'm not a fan.
I think I'd be ok with Struber continuing. I don't particularly rate him, but constantly chopping and changing is no good for anyone.
I think Struber is a better manager than Stendel. The bits of info coming from players and CEO seem to indicate that. I think we have a fabulous manager on our hands here. IMO the only reason Struber will not stay will be for family reasons. If he leaves - the owners are going to be hard pressed to find someone as good. As for Morais - no way should we have been relegated with the experienced quality players that he had at his disposal.
