Does anyone know what Ronnie Branson ever ended up doing when he left us?? I know he had a bit of coaching influence on some of the better young players we've had. But not heard about him since?

Good man, Ronnie. And a good family. A young lad from overseas was trialling at the academy for a couple of weeks. He'd been away from his home for a few months. Some things didn't go well for him and he was overcome with homesickness. Ronnie took him home and into his family until the lad was back on track. Well done , Ronnie.

Top bloke Ronnie. There was only one bloke at Oakwell that didn't like him which is why he left.

Fantastic bloke. I tried to get something out of Oakwell for a charity auction. Got match tickets from Brammall Lane, New York Stadium and Hillsborough but just a curt response from Don Rowing saying that the club was "inundated" with requests like this so only gave anything to local charities. A while later, I went down to watch the juniors playing Leeds (By the way, Barnsley battered Leeds 3-0 with Paul Digby having a blinder) when Ronnie was in charge and at the end of the game we got talking. Turns out we had a mutual friend. Anyway, to cut a long story short, I mentioned the charity auction and he said he'd get me an autographed football for the following week. True to his word, I went down the following week and he had a signed football ready with an authentication certificate as well. He restored my faith in BFC.
