    A real innovator, absolutely superb. He will be sorely missed. His Sabres of Paradise stuff still finds its way onto my decks every now and then, still sounds cutting even 25+ years later.

    Very sad to hear this. He was a semi resident at my mates' night, Superconductor in Leeds in the early 2000's, (only charging £500 to them, when he could get thousands playing other places) & many of my DJ mates knew him well on the DJ circuit in Leeds. Pictures all over my FB last night.
    As a DJ he played many styles of music from techno / electronica to krautrock & even rockabilly. No one that I know that put him on & there are many had anything but kind words for him, a true gent.
