Don't try building a strawman argument. I haven't said it was remainers, I said we don't know and it is equally possible to be a remainer trying to stir up trouble. Whoever did it is a cretin regardles of how they voted.
I'm sorry, but brushing it under the carpet and pretending it doesn't happen solves nothing. Make people aware that it's not acceptable in a civilised society or it will keep happening.
Who’s to say you won’t follow us ? Seems you open posts to be offended rather than the other way round .
God almighty! I give up tbh. This board isn’t a footballing forum anymore is it I can see. I don’t want to fooking know! Do you not get this? There’s this sort of **** plastered all over the internet, in every news thread, everywhere. I don’t need it ramming down my throat on a ******* football forum too. I come on here to try and break away from this . This isn’t the place for people’s political or racial views. It’s like trying to communicate with fooking brick walls to some on here so now I’ve said my peace you can carry on berating me publicly and talking non-football ballax cos I’m clearly wasting my breath.
I did actually used to live in a majority muslim area (70%, apparently - just looked it up). Loved it - very friendly, lots of families and the only times I ever felt threatened were in isolated cases with which anybody who lives in a major city will be familiar. I probably have more of them now (same city, 4.5% muslim). I'm just sharing this so that the next time you tell your anecdote about being on holiday in France you can follow it up with something like "On the other hand I spoke to somebody else who lived in a majority muslim area in the UK and he said it was one of the most friendly places he'd ever lived, so it's probably more complicated than that". Just for balance, like.
Cheers glad my thoughts are wrong about living in such an area ,thanks for your reply, just shows you 2 sides to every story
And breathe. On a thread about speaking English this is remarkable. I happen to live in a largely non white area when students are away. In 30 odd years I've not become xenophobic.
Unreal everyone is crazy there is loads of balance in my reply,I made a mistake and thought letter was about the area the people got stabbed in,it was only a story about my holiday,I hate this forum
Like I say, it's just isolated incidents if I'm in the pub or walking home from the train late at night or something. Threatening or drunk people looking like they might bother you, or groups of lads being generally unpleasant. It's by no means a regular occurrence!
Perhaps read thread titles and just simply scroll past the ones that are raising your blood pressure.....
In Gwynedd the aim is to have all primary school pupils 'confident in both English and Welsh' and in secondary schools pupils to 'develop skills in both languages.'
