I wish I could resign from this forum, because everytime I try to join in I just get slated or called a knob, I was just trying to tell a story about being scared on holiday etc, the person who slit the priests throat was a muslim ,there was no nasty meaning in putting, majority muslim area, its just an expression ive heard on tv to describe tensions in communitys
The top of the poster is titled “Happy Brexit Day”. And by the way, I wasn’t calling you a knob. I was calling the idiot interviewed by Channel 4 after the referendum a knob.
This is only news because people let it be so. Just ignore it and you’ll have a better day as you can’t do fook all to stop it.
presumed the poster was put up in area where stabbing took place, so just thought id tell story of how we was scared on holiday, just shows you how you can get confused with only half the story
Fair enough. I still don't agree with your post, but it makes more sense now at least. I think that the mentality of brown people = possible terrorists is dangerous and unhelpful and is what perpetuates the violence.
I’ll ask you this then, by highlighting it on here will you or others put a stop to it? I think the answer is no don’t you? Run for Parliament, chief of police, prime minister and I’ll wager you still won’t stop it. There are bad people everywhere ad infinitum and you cannot stop this sort of thing so why let it spoil your day is what I’m saying.
The reason things like this happen is that people now seem to think that they are justified in their xenophobia. As has been said many times, not everyone that voted for Brexit is racist (It's not even a majority of brexit voters), but all the racists voted for Brexit. The problem with this is that the racists now think that their views are the majority view in the country, despite the fact that people voted for Brexit for all sorts of reasons. Making this news, the reaction it has received shows that the majority don't actually agree with views like this and if the perpetrator gets arrested and sentenced, as is likely, it shows that it's not acceptable.
I know people have been inspired to many things by posting on here or with what others have posted . From small acorns and all that . By your take on things you’d strangle at birth the platforms where people start their inspiration . The platform itself may not be the catalyst for ideas but it is one of many platforms where great things have and ideas have started .
Absolutely, I mentioned this as a possibility earlier in the post. Unfortunately asking some posters on here to keep an open mind on subjects like this is an exercise in futility.
And this happens both ways, Muslim extremists all over the news, terror attacks again just the other day in London and you wonder why this vile literature gets posted? If you want to be disgusted in anyone then the press in this country should be public enemy number one don’t you think? None of it’s acceptable but posting it on a footballing forum is even less acceptable in my eyes tbh. Go post it on an anti-racist notice board somewhere cos I for one don’t want to trawl all over this crap on here, and that goes for the utterly boring political threads too. This is after all supposed to be a Barnsley FC football supporters forum.
Aye cos re"moan"ers are to blame for everything aren't they? When the full horrors of Brexit start to bite it'll all be the remoaners fault.
Sorry DB but with the greatest of respect you're wrong. Do you mean the posters are fair? They are not, they are cowardly and xenophobic. Secondly if people want to speak in their mother tongue when they are with friends and family either in private or public then who cares? It seems like the normal thing to do to me and they have every right to do so. They should learn the language of the country they are in so they can get work and converse with people but that is a very different point. And I voted to leave.
To make a point that it bores the absolute tits off of me and probably a fair few others and isn’t for this forum, at all. Take it somewhere else FFS!
