    Having a medical at Burnley.

I think he’d do a job in the premier league, though I’m not sure Burnley play through midfield so much.

    Good luck to him

Correct, all this contract will do for his career is strengthen his neck muscles by watching the ball fly back and forth over his head before his next move.

Brownhill and Hourihane in midfield. We had them. Playing together at the same time. Fc*k me.

True but Brownhill was never ours and I dont think there was ever any realistic prospect of us buying him - he looked good when we had him on loan though

I believe there was a very realistic prospect of us buying him, until Little Lee made an offer we couldn’t compete with.

In League One, no wonder we effectively pissed the league after Christmas

I can remember posting that we needed experience in midfield at the time etc etc he came and was fantastic for us (what do i know!) good luck to him in the prem.

He was out of contract at Preston, our problem was the lead in our boots. We should have had him nailed down along time before the end of the season. Same with Connor and Winnall. Contracts should have been sorted before a ball was kicked in the new season

We made the playoffs on goal difference. With no guarantees that we were getting promoted it wasn't lead in our boots but more stuck between a rock and a hard place in terms of Brownhill.

there wasn't. he was never offered anything at BFC and agreed a deal in principle to sign at Bristol about April time, well before our season ended.

Brown for Isgrove, More end product even though he's been criticised for the lack of it. Isgrove wasn't exactly an assist machine.
Odour for Williams, Left footed left back with loads of potential and will play a higher level than us.
The bench isn't the strongest? McCourt was pants and Nyatanga was at the end of his career so you could possibly put Woodrow and Mowatt in there.

I agree with you - all of them. So 2 of our current squad could get into the team, and 2 onto the bench. Maybe one of our keepers in for Nick Townsend.

I suppose the actual comparison would be the team that started the following season with this team.
