Good to see the response last night, I stood and applauded for a while, then I said to the person next to me it's all very well remembering the Wembley glories and the fact that he told us to "hold our nerve" all those years ago, but he had a lot to do with the tearing the team apart after the promotion, presumably to fulfil the Plan. His Plan. Without people getting all holier-than-thou we have now what he set up. Good or bad I'm not certain but the battle lines were drawn up years ago by the man who saved us. Are we being currently run by people who want to save us?
The scoreboard went to 66:00 and the minutes applause started so technically it was a 67th minute applause as 66 minutes had already been fully completed.
I agree with most of what you are saying and could go on for ages about all the wrongs of his regime and the money his family pocketed and why is his son even still on the board? But its best not to look under some rocks and let the dead lie....
Please let us know these "wrongs" and what money did his family "pocket. Strong words so surely you can back this up. Its like the people who's said this board are taking money out when in fairness there no evidence they've took a penny out.One day maybe but not at the present time.
It always amazes me that Patrick gets grief about taking money from the club. I’ve posted on here many times the amounts he wrote off, gifted and loaned to the club. Just read the accounts over his tenure and then tell me who else was queuing up to bank roll the club?
There are other ways to run football clubs; there's the Coventry City way or the Bolton Wanderers way. I think our way might prove to be the only sustainable way for a club of our size with no billionaire backers waiting in the wings.
This thread.... Mixed feelings. On the one hand it's a ******* disgrace, on the other hand it's ******* ridiculous.
Apparently, but ones whose primary purpose is to remain billionaires. What I was really alluding to is the sort of billionaire supporter like Blackburn found back in the 90s.
