Can't be that much bad blood anymore if we are willing to do business with them. It's not like it would be Hearts or nobody. He will have plenty of clubs interested. We will have a huge squad in the summer with signing players but everyone who's leaving only going on loan.
Sibbick is down the pecking order but still makes the bench every game, so we will have to replace him by the end of January (unless someone from the academy is ready)
If Sibbick can’t get in our defence at the moment (and he shouldn’t, the thought makes me cringe) then that tells us all we need to know. I don’t see how he’d get a game for Hearts unless they are absolutely toilet.
Yep, seems daft to let him go unlesss we get two CB's in. Especially considering one of our defenders is also our best defensive mid option at present.
I think Sibbick WILL be a great player, needs experience against lesser opposition as he's clearly not quite ready for Championship, makes perfect sense to loan him out.
Not sure Sibbick could ever be a Hourihane, however he could be a good steady player for us. I'd hate to see him thrive elsewhere if we sold him, but I think a loan would be good and we get to see an improved player next season. I like the lad. there is something there, he is not a Cole Kpekawa.
Although he's missed some games through illness, it looks as though Toby Sibbick is highly rated by both the fans and the Hearts Manager Daniel Stendel alike. Surprised to read that Daniel thought that Toby was Barnsley's best player at the start of this season. Like others have said in this thread, I think he could develop into a very good player and if we are to be relegated, he could well play an integral role for us in League One, that is of course, if our Board resist any offer that might come in from North of the border. https://www.edinburghnews.scotsman....toby-sibbick-and-when-he-might-return-1890697
TBH I liked him, I thought he in particular suffered from playing in a struggling side and moved about within it. I think with a bit of encouragement and given a clean slate he would be a player we shouldkeep.
This is his and some other players problem, the word 'versatile' has killed many a career. Get a position, learn the craft and stick to it.
There have been a few Jack of all trades. Phil Neville, Michael Carrick, Jamie Carragher, Jordan Henderson. Never mastering their true position. I always thought Paul Scholes should have been a striker too.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/scottish-premiership/table if he stays there then he will most likely be playing Scotts Champions league footy next season. Which I feel would bring him on.
