Couldn’t be bothered to read the article but as a practical man I find that if people can find some kind of comfort In it in hard times then great, otherwise it’s a load of codswallop. It’s a tool to control people for personal gain.
It's nice to think that there is something more. However, science dictates that there isn't so make the most of the time you have.
Theres more magic in science and wonderful natural evolution than having a murderous, capricious dictator ruling over us like some supernatural North Korean despot. Where only death is the beginning of our torture
I couldn't agree more. So let's stop giving a platform to those that wish to control others' lives because their imaginary friend said so.
Like it or not , it's shaped world history in every aspect over the last 2000 years. Therefore is important, and it doesn't matter if you believe in God or a supreme being, or aliens...
I respect everyone's right to believe in what they want faith/ religion whatever, for me I scratch my head that in 2020 people still believe in Gods, I wish I did believe that when I've reverted to carbon that I will see my kids and family again ( it must be a comfort to those that believe) but as Belinda Carlisle once sang " heaven is a place on earth" one life live it as far as I'm concerned
Religion is fear, simple as that, every ism, every holy book, every rotten bit of it is geared to suppress people and control the minds of people, what a wonderful world it would be without religion, just imagine.
For a different, interesting and watchable thriller series based on modern religion I’d recommend Messiah on Netflix.
Religion poisons everything. Unsubstantiated dogma purveyed by a very suspect group of mind controlling criminals in order to hold sway over ordinary people. Hate it, hate it, hate it.
I find no difference in the act of killing under the cloak of religion or son of Sam. Whether it be the almighty or next doors dog that told you to do it you’re still only a murderer
I think people have a perfect right to believe in whatever they want and they should have that right respected. What they don’t have is a right to impose that belief on anyone else. Those Countries that link the State with a particular religion need to take a long hard look at themselves.
