I thought the lads were unlucky to lose that game yesterday and there’s no doubt that they are improving- certainly collectively and mostly individually too. There are also showing great spirit and have a lot of fight about them. BUT, we’re now into Mid January and we’ve still just won 5 games. I don’t see this squad getting us out of relegation without some additional quality being brought in - whether permanently or on loan.

This is where we need the Board to step up. They now have two weeks to try to rectify the farce of a Summer they created. IMO we desperately need some centre back quality and we’re also ridiculously light up front. I’m less concerned about the middle of the Park. So please Mr Conway, a little more urgency please. A couple of additions and Struber’s abilities might just give us the breathing space to take the Club forward rather than back down to the black hole of League one.

I agree, we have a young defence who have had to learn the league and each other. We now have seen they haven't learnt too quickly and need to add something to the back 4. For me our right back position and a centre half. Then IF we manage to do that we have a back four that need to restart in their learning together again - mid season. I sincerely hope we manage to stay up as we are playing good football for 80 mins a game with nothing to show in league position due to the defensive frailties. I hope we aren't in a too little too late position this time next week.

Spot on just what I have said.
However this was after the game last week.
The lads are performing out of their skins but there's championship quality lacking in a couple of positions.
