Wednesday, United and Leeds fans all arguing who is the best team in Yorkshire.

    Thoughts?

    Overall I would say Leeds

But currently for obvious reasons I would say United

The best? Sheffield United. They're 5th in the Premier League.

    The biggest? Probably Leeds United.

The most success? Arguably Sheffield Wednesday.

Sheffield history is all pre WWII Wednesday & Blunts have won nowt since then. In 70s Leeds won League, FA Cup, League Cup, inter cities Fairs Cup and reached European Cup final . As recently as 90s Leeds have won the top league title and reached champions league semi final so I'd say Leeds by a country mile.

That last paragraph/sentence is miles from the truth.

Leeds are far bigger than both the Sheffield Clubs, although it helps being a one team city.

At the Minute Sheffield United and there shouldn’t be a debate on that.

Of all time I’d say Leeds

I'd say Leeds and no doubt taken over a period of each teams history that's correct... However let's not forget how massive the pigs claim they are... Even if its all in their heads.... Lol

It's not miles off. It's arguable. Which is how I said it, knowing others would think differently.

Four titles, three FA Cups, one League Cup, numerous other finals. Share a city with a club that's not far off their size. Still get huge crowds.

Leeds - three titles, one FA Cup, one League Cup, runners up in both European tournaments. Only club in the city which is twice the size of Sheff.

Both have been out of the top flight for a ridiculously long time. So yeah. I stand by my summary. Leeds biggest, Wednesday most successful. United best.

But Wednesdays haven’t been successful for the last 60 years apart from one League cup win 25 years ago.

Sheffield United are the best - not even a contest at the minute

Historically what about Huddersfield? Three league titles on the trot and three runners up spots and an FA cup win.

    Sheff United by a mile.

Over the last 5 years Hull with a spell in the prem & an FA Cup final appearance & then Huddersfield with two seasons in the Prem deserve a mention before Leeds & Wednesday

Wednesday are a strange shout really. I don’t mind Wednesday as I know they will always be a source of amusement rather than a club who’s success I would ever be envious of. This big club thing they seem to have going seems to be based on the sheer number of people living in Sheffield rather than any football related reason.

The best currently are Sheffield United as much as it pains me to say it.

The biggest team and arguably the best overall / historically is Leeds as much as it pains me to say it.

When you look at how crap Yorkshire teams have been over the past 140 years, this feels like two bald men arguing over a comb.
