" If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?" I posted similar to this in the wake of the Rotherham cse scandal. While a lot of girls knew what had happened to them was wrong and were undoubtedly haunted by that there will have also been a lot who, due to the very nature of grooming, will have 'enjoyed' the attention at the time and probably never thought anything of it in an overtly negative way until it hit the news and the realisation hit them that they too were victims. It's terrible to even begin to think how it just be to be living your life blissfully unaware that something bad has happened to you until you suddenly hear it on the news or get a knock at your door. I can't help but wonder would I prefer to know and get justice? Or would I prefer to be left in the dark and live my life never knowing? It's horrible that these kinds of crimes really do affect people for life and that the effects aren't always known for years afterwards
Dunno. Perhaps because of the reaction I knew it would get from those who get off on righteous indignation.
If the report of the rape of many hundreds of victims brings a smile to your face -- you have a problem -- and I hope you're aware of that!
If you REALLY think that the report of the mass rapes in Manchester would bring a smile to anyone's face then you're just the sort of person I'm referring to. But I bet you're not aware of that.
stop backtracking and read #13 - (and ask admin to remove it - unless of course you really do think rape is a 'smiling' matter.)
