Constantly time wasting from the 30th minute onwards, giving it the big un to the fans all way through and then when the final whistle went he was the first off the pitch and down the tunnel.

Shame like.

 

And dear Sam btw will you come and play for us, because you were the sole reason your team got a point today, whereas our own goalies tend to kick it straight to the opposition and they score.

 

Three great saves that kept them in the game. The best performance against us by a keeper for a long time.

But then he ruins it wasting time all game and inviting the home fans. In injury time when it was 1 all and he had a goal kick, it was like a Benny Hill skit with how much he was rushing about to get on with it.

PS: Someone please put the Benny Hill theme to that footage of him for us all to have a laugh.

 

An excellent keeper he is, could well be the best we see at Oakwell this season.

 

He was just one of many. Think Robson-Kanu got away with blatantly holding on to / kicking the ball away on at least half a dozen occasions.

Pathetic from what’s supposed to be the best side in the division

 

Spent nine seasons with Man United and had two loan spells with Aston Villa plus other loans
in the lower divisions. Cost West Brom £6.5 million, so you would expect to buy quality for that kind
of money.

 

Good keeper, funny gave shush sign to ponty when people were pissed off with his time wasting, then decided to palm the ball back to the fans who were passing him the ball to time waste even more. Ref was soft as ****, shame it backfired and he made a swift exit off the pitch...

 

Ref should be disciplined for his actions or lack of today. He saw Johnstone put the ball back into the stand, saw that it caused stewards to get involved and still pretended nothing had happened. Could have caused a riot. Demote the biased cheating **** to league 2

 

I agree the ref let the time wasting go on all game though never got to grips with it.

 

I think there's one or two on here that needs to look back at the 2 - 2 draw at there place. We were shocking at time wasting when we went 2 nil up. I my opinion much worse that they were today. I'm sure Collin's was booked for time wasting in the second half.

 

It's indefensible really. Missing a foul, getting a corner or throw in wrong, making a wrong decision in the heat of the moment can all be excused but simply electing not to do what it says in your job description is indefensible. I'll never respect a referee while ever he or she has zero respect for the game of football from which they earn a handsome salary.

 

What’s even more annoying is that down at the Hawthorns in the return fixture we came away with about 7 or 8 bookings as the ref was constantly penalising us for the niggly fouls & time wasting West Brom got away with today.

 

Did Collins throw the ball into the stand and then throw it back in when he was given it by fans? Did the ref pretend it hadn't happened?

I hate time wasting when they do it and when we do. It simply serves to steal time from paying customers.

 

Couldn’t believe their time wasting and constant need to pick the ball up and take it with them, no matter what the restart was. So infuriating.

Very good goalkeeper though. The save low down from Chaplin was world class.

 

We weren’t that bad but how look how many players of ours got booked that night. Some of them were ridiculous too.

Weirdly. Only 3 bookings for WBA today.

 

The one that got me with the ref was when he gave us a free kick 2nd half and had 3/4 west brom players in his face arguing the toss, dishing yellows out would have sorted that out.

 

Was there mate. They were in an other league to us in time wasting. Taking the **** to another level. Brown was the first to be booked at their place. That was a joke. Cleared the ball up pitch that was just on/over the byline when he attempted to clear.

 

This time wasting stuff makes me angry. Not with the other team, nor with the ref, but with the rules. Just stop the bloody watch and let them waste as much time as they want. I've said it before, stop the watch every time play stops, regardless of the reason, and play 30 or 35 minutes each way.

 

Quite why they can’t appoint a time-keeper to take the controversy out of it would be a mystery, if it wasn’t for the general ineptitude of those running the game that is.

 

When they scored today it must have taken 3 minutes before we restarted the game. He added one minute of injury time.
