    To be fair, isn't it the case that "Battling Barnsley" is a name we were given back around the time of the cup winning team? I don't personally read it as implying any lack of skill. It could be argued it's lazy journalism, maybe, but it's not especially pejorative. We've been called worse.

    I think that description is exactly what we are.... west brom individually are far superior to our players but we had the work rate and team ethic to overcome their threat.

    I can see why you might say that. But that’s not what I saw on the pitch today. The joy of today’s performance was not just that we kept on keeping on, but that we played some lovely stuff. Bottom v Top? Didn’t look like it.
