Whilst I agree the part that most us would like to be changed is still being sung. Diaby appears to revel in it. Almost appearing to condone it. Which in turn raises the volume. I believe he would like to see it removed. But doesn't appear to take offence.. please don't shoot me down if I'm wrong it's only as I see it.

It was loud then faded away to nothing by the time the offensive line was sung if indeed anyone sang it. I sit in the Ponty and couldn't make out what the last line actually was.

How have you managed to mention the Italian FA using monkeys as their stance on anti racism onto us?

On to the link, this is ridiculous and you have to ask who would put that forward to the public and deem it acceptable? You’d like to think the people running the Italian FA are intelligent people. What hope have the rest of the country got where it seems a large minority of fans in Italian football don’t think twice to racist chanting.

Imagine if the fans put that as a banner at a game? You’d hope UEFA would come down on them like a tonne of bricks, I hope they do the same with the FA.

England are playing these mobs in a friendly in march, I think the FA may consider their position on this.

I see what the artist is trying to portray, yes through evolution we are all descended from apes. The problem is the racist perception that those with the darkest skin tone are nearer to apes than caucasians.

And that’s the trouble with artists, there’s often an interpretation required to understand the message. This would be too clever for the neanderthals involved who’d just see a picture if a monkey without understanding the message.

    Not sure?

It’s absolutely the worst advertising campaign you could ever imagine, in a country that has some of the worst history for fascism ever, and you aren’t sure about it?

If you don’t think that’s racist you’re probably a racist.

    Mate. Come on now.

This is going out to the masses, not just the 'intellectual' artists out there. They should've been aware of the connotations surrounding using monkeys in this and they should've thought to themselves "maybe to completely avoid it being taken out of context we should do something else"

Left themselves wide open i'm afraid.

It's certainly got everyone talking about racism in football though. Maybe they're smarter than we thought and that was their intention.

So, the top people in Italian football decide to have an anti-racism campaign. They decide to use art as a backdrop for it. Fair enough. They must have contacted several artists to put forward their ideas. Fair enough. Then, when the ideas are in, the leaders of Italian football all sit down to consider the proposals. After high level discussions, they decide they want to send out the message that, amongst other things, fans making monkey noises at games is racist and needs to stop. Then they decide to use a picture of monkeys to get that message across. The set of f***ing imbeciles.

So like right, there's like 3 types of people in this world right, there's black people right and they're like just monkey monkeys, your basic monkey, and then there's like Asian monkeys right, and they've got slitty eyes, and then there's white people right and they're like super monkeys with blue eyes and it's to stop racism and that.

Maybe it's been lost in translation but they're clearly apes.

There real are no words to describe the stupidity of this campaign! Unless, of course, it’s quite purposeful! They deemed it non-racist for fans to chant monkey noises at Lukaku?
