Or maybe fresh eyes rather then an already biased view due to having seen the players perform before?
Surprised he didn't notice Woodrow with all the times he messed up last night. Got gifted a goal but missed a few he should have buried and his passing was off. Not his usual high standards.
I thought Bahre had a good game. He's frustrating with his decision making, but his technique and ball control are brilliant at times.
I'm usually a fan of Ben Williams but last night I though he was disappointing, just kept booting the ball over the top to nobody other than their keeper. Brown, well he was dreadful I though too. I lost count the amount of times he got into a crossing position and tamely passed it into the keepers hands or for a defender to easily control and clear. Ran around but offered nothing. Though Mowatt Kenny and Magic all played decent enough in the middle though.
All these players have good games and bad ones. All of them have good moments in games and bad ones. All of them have some things they do well and some things that need to work on. Everyone with any knowledge of football knows that this is how it is with young players. The bizarre situation we find ourselves in is that 90% of our squad are young players. I am not including the two “veterans” Woodrow and Mowatt.
He deserved his MOTM award. No arguments from me and I usually don't understand who gets given it at games.
Woodrow is a very good player but he had a poor game last night, maybe the worst I’ve seen him play. Mowatt was his usual solid self but maybe lacked a bit of quality on his end product. Brown got round their fullback most of the time but his end product was generally poor. Probably his best game in the championship that I’ve seen. Bahre was good first half but poor second half I thought. I really don’t get his massive reluctance to shoot when he’s in the box. I thought Jordan Williams was better than Ben last night but Ben was more solid defensively. Last night was a game we should’ve won. Reading were very poor I thought.
