Any recommendations as to where to have a pre-match drink tonight?

My eldest is going to the match with another reds supporting mate tonight. first time he's been on his own. they're both at Sheff Uni so coming through on train.
It's been a while since i went drinking round town so the only ones I could think of were Mount & courthouse.
Anyone got any other recommendations. think he'd be looking for a younger crowd (rather than something with a snug :) which would be my preference now)

    Courthouse always seems full.

Old no 7. Would've previously recommended arcade ale house but beer is shocking since the takeover.

If they’re on a low budget, they could try The Shambles Street pub, a selection of beers and lagers under £2.00. Sky Sports as well. There’s always the Chennells
