Yes ...i am. As you can appreciate anonymity is everything for these guys. If the board found out he was in contact with another club...why not deal with it there and then. ."well they only just found out" etc etc....rubbish...there were alterations with the coach and board...absolutely. His protestations were too much ...they called for him and sacked him. ..he was shocked. Now theres this spin....i appreciate we move on as a club but i just feel we have given up on a very good thing...and its cost us money we allegedly don't have (95% of budget etc). It appears that the working relationship had become unworkable...the good thing about football is you can have your own opinions. I know what i chose to believe based on people i have spoken too.
I'm happy with this now and the chapter is closed for me. Of course, I'd love to know the other details, but I doubt I ever will. I knew eventually some kind of message would be released. I also knew some of the people on here would never accept it and dissect it line-by-line for errors, issues, "lies", etc. Each to their own.
If the statement is true and i would be very surprised if its not then how can anybody defend stendle. The onlything the board were supposedly guilty of was a dodgy statement and they got crucfied by most of this board. If stendle has done what they say its going its goin to be interesting to how all the owner haters respond.
Mourinho wasn’t in a job. Whatever you might think, the board could not have been planning to sack Stendel before they did. Would have then taken a couple of weeks to appoint Struber doing it the correct way even if they’d targeted him as a possible eventual replacement at sometime. Makes sense to me.
No, its a combination of TPExpress and Northern Rail. If she is ever on time, then you need to worry. I've had to start traveling to Birmingham Airport because it is more reliable and generally quicker than Manchester despite being twice the distance.
I’m not being funny, but I reckon I was away when the transcript of the supporters meeting came out and I missed it. What was the ”statement” at the supporters meeting?
From everyone there they claim dane Murphy told them the club could not give any details as to Daniels leaving due to legal reasons. That's from jay, hooky fella, match day drinkers etc.
Exactly my thoughts. We have it now from our directors. Shall I be the first to say it ...... Stendel is a @@@@ !!!
So, if this is right, our manager rejected numerous offers of a new contract at Oakwell and instead spoke with another Championship club, without permission or a legal approach and tried to get some of his staff on board with the idea too. The club found out some time later and removed him from post, but continued to pay him so feel they're owed compensation from an altogether different club who appointed him this weekend. The murky world of football. I've nothing much to add. My focus is on Wednesday night and hopefully seeing another improved performance that fuels more hope of a revival. Good luck to Stendel in Edinburgh, the devious bugger.
Gutted that DS has gone, he was crying out to the board for experienced signings and got kids. No wonder that his head was turned by a rival club, who hasn’t made enquiries or had discussions when pyssed off at work. ??Personally I think that if DS had been given the tools for the job he’d have stayed, I think the board are culpable in him speaking to an alternative club and wish him well for the future.
Ok, but what’s the big deal then? There were legal reasons and Conway has said they were hoping to sort it out amicably ( I guess that means financially amicable!). Part of doing that would be to spare the reputation of both the club and Stendel. It’s not been possible to do that obviously. Can’t see a real contradiction.
I'd still like to know what changed for Daniel in between promotion and deciding he no longer wanted to be here.
They couldn't say a word for legal reasons now they say they didn't say a word out of respect for Daniel. That isn't legal reasons, it's a different thing
Watch the tykes tv interview with him again. It's quite clear he had in his mind the need for championship signings. Conway proceeded to waffle on about Hourihane.
