The lads from NTT20 have done some digging and found an expert on Austrian football, who has spoken to them about our new head coach. I've not listened to it yet as I'm at work but thought I'd share with the forum so you can have a listen and see what you all think.

Great find - thanks for sharing that one.

He likes a beer - tick
He had the oldest squad at Wolfsberger - negative tick!

    Prefers a narrow diamond.

Tough times for Thiam, Brown, Thomas, Wilks and Green?

I'll be surprised if either are still there by end of Jan.

Brown and Wilkes could be used at the tip of the diamond or up front alongside Woodrow. Thiam is on his way out for sure but I bet we're struggling to give him away considering he earns decent coin.

I don't see where Green fits in at all. Thomas? Think there's a player in there, he might be able to took in or play in front of the midfield.

5 into 1 doesn't go though does it, even if shoehorning into an unnatural position... and if competing with no10s, what of Bahre, Styles, maybe Chaplin, maybe Mowatt, maybe McGeehan. Of course, we could force the coach to change formation, or he adapts.

Either way, his preference isn't a natural fit for our bloated young squad.

Our squad wasn't a natural fit the minute we started playing without wingers sadly. Opinion will vary, but I like the flexibility we'll have on the bench.

It isn't 5 in to 1 though. Chaplin is currently the partner for Woodrow, but Schmidt will be knocking on the door now, Wilkes is our option when we want height, and I still think Brown could be a striker for us or play inside right. We're actually light in central midfield which is my main worry - Dougall, McGeehan, Mowatt and Styles for three positions.

I think 3/4 will leave in January and 2/3 will come in. I just hope it's within the first few days of January and not the last few.

I suspect 5 or 6 20somethings will go and 4 or 5 foetuses will come in. Agree we're missing in centre mid and up front. And of course we didn't mention Simoes or Mottley Henry. Probably shoved out or back to u23s respectively.

I think Sibbick could play infront of the 2 Centre halfs or Dougal or Mowatt - as the sitting midfield, top of the diamond could be 1 from Brown, McGeehan, Chaplin, Thomas, Wilks, Bahre,. 2 middle players could be 2 from Mowatt, Dougall, Mcgeehan, Bahre, Styles. So I think we have the players for the midfield, the full backs worry me more.
