I'm seeing several references to the January window across various threads. Do folk really think anything could be done in Jan to prevent the drop to L1?

We have played 16 games. There are 9 more fixtures before Jan, plus 4 more during Jan. So by the end of Jan we'll have played 29 games, which leaves 17 to play.

We're already 5 points behind Luton (21st), but with a much worse goal difference, so really need to gain 6 points to overtake them.

I'm not one for chucking the towel in, but we'd have to sign some serious quality in Jan to change our circumstances.

It's not gonna happen, is it?

5% of the transfer budget left. Why on earth would you think it won't happen!?

I would say good experienced loan players or players on a years contract just to give us any chance of digging ourselves out of this hole.
Two wing backs and a midfielder is IMO what we desperately need.

A right back is a dead certainty. The amount of schoolboy goals that have been the root cause from that area of the field has been a huge concern and in my opinon is a huge factor as to why we are where we are. Admittedly we've not been great throughout the rest of the field but just think how many goals have come from that area. Weather that be Sibbock, Williams or Cavare playing there, All three have struggled in this division. That key word again is needed "Experience"!

That budget will get a boost when we sell Woodrow at the end of January

We will wait a few days before the window ends to sell him.

What about an experienced CH and another striker (or two when Woodrow is sold)?

Its obvious that any remaining saleable assets will be sold. (Woodrow Mowatt)

And then who could we attract? With the club cut adrift so far at the bottom that pays the lowest championship salaries and has created an us and then situation between board and supporter.

    Fans have been shafted.

If, after whats gone of off either Woodrow and Mowatt have instructed their agents to look for alternatives i would be surprised.

Sold to offset loss of revenue between championship and league 1.

May/June 2020 we are told that 99% of budget has been spent.

Blyth Spartans and Chapecoense loan us some of their reserve and academy squad.

Worst thing is that Woodrow and Mowatt will be sold for next to nowt. What we should do is let Brentford sell them for 20 million each for us and give them 10% commission

Woodrow will leave unless he's injured. Possibly Mowatt too. I actually think at this point that will be the right thing to do as we will be too far gone by then.
