    I love Redders. But crikey... the only time he didn't seem to have nomadic tendencies was while he was with us. How many coaching roles has he now had since he retired?

    Neil Redfearn was one of Barnsleys greatest players and a true legend for his displays wearing a reds shirt. However I would not want to spoil all that he did for our club by becoming a yes man for the current board and their sell anyone and everyone if a bid comes in . I think Hecky got fed up of it and so did DS . I am sure any headcoach/manager would in time.

    Hecky wasn't a club legend though was he? He played for us but whilst he was here he wasn't exactly lauded. No one gave a stuff when he went on loan to Bradford.

    Ar that's why they slung the last manager our fans really connected with out the door 11 games into the season, because they're all about romance and that.

    Here, here. Never forget first goal in the prem at home to West Ham we went barmy in ponte end fantastic experience and how I prefer to think of him. Switch then to Hendrie’s failed tenure as manager, wouldnt want the same for NR and I do think youre right no one would wear this board for long.

    How romantic will it be if he gets his 23.8% win ratio here like at Rotherham and all the fans are baying for a club heroes blood? Or maybe the solid 0% win ratio he managed at Northwich?
    I think there’s a lot more romance and emotion involved in wanting to retain a club hero’s standing.
