Switched it on cos i'm bored. Supposed to be Sheff Utd v Arsenal... but they're still on about Man Utd and Liverpool
They always spend the first half hour & last hour of the shoe discussing the other games from the weekend
Got lucky did United. If Arsenal had got the early penalty they should have, it would have been a different game.
Refs don’t give for pens like that anymore we would have had at least two in our games against Leeds & Swansea if that was the case.
Don’t know I didn’t catch much of tonight’s build up but normally they’ll discuss the big game / issue at the start & a bit of everything in the last hour
It was Carragher and Patrice Evra. Talking about how Arsenal should be winning these kinds of games, wondering if Wilder will start telling his goalkeeper to overlap and just generally ignoring the fact that the little team is doing well
I thought they were quite complimentary. They said if Wilder was manager of a big club or foreign he'd be hailed as a genius!
Sheffield United were absolutely superb. More passion, better organised and with a very realistic game plan. Wilder completely outthought Unai Emery and United outplayed Arsenal.
He would though in fairness - his record is incredible and this idea of overlapping centre backs is / was unheard of. It’s very clever because strikers aren’t designed / trained to pick up runners and so they are quite often unmarked or it forces the midfielders to pick them up which in turn leaves sheff u’s midfielders lots of space. He’s an outstanding manager.
