Thought he was excellent on Saturday and could form a good partnership with Cauley. Seems quite an intelligent player. McGeehan should have squared it back to him for the first one he ballooned over great assist for the goal
Not quite the big man I think we are missing, but he’s certainly a tenacious little fella. I prefer him to Bahre any day of the week.
Best thing about Chaplin for me is that he never gives up on seemingly 'lost balls' Will run his blood to water for the team and that's what we need.
Trouble is tho, we need goals to win games. And his record is not great for a forward His scoring ratio is more like that of winger... A position we now have in abundance..
I suppose that’s my point he looks to me like he could form a good partnership with Woodrow given time
He played well Saturday. The only problem is I never have any confidence in him scoring. Reminds me a bit of Chris Dagnall
Showing the benefit from having a little run starting. Can see why Daniel was keen to have him. Hopefully the goals will come with confidence
I wonder if Bahre might get a bit more joy playing alongside Mowatt and Dougall, a little deeper than he did for most of last season. I wouldn't write him off just yet - he's clearly got talent, but needs to cut out the habit of losing the ball in dangerous areas.
Bahre could play the attacking midfielder role that McGeehan played on Saturday. Potentially more creative but less good defensively. I was impressed with Chaplin as well.
OOOH!!! A football post.... I'll respond, then. Gets better with every minute he gets on the pitch. Thought he was great Saturday.
