Feel for stendel never got chance to play the team he got promoted. Had his top scorer sold 4 days before the window ended and effectively had one striker in woodrow. The defence he has to pick from is a joke, been hard done by and it's a sad ending to his time here.
I'm torn between applauding Stendel for sticking to his guns (the high press) and wanting to bollock him for being so bloody-minded. I feel sorry for the way his successful side was sold out from under him, but football management is about managing with what you have, not carrying on regardless. No-one in their right mind would send such a young side out to play like that. I'll miss him though, we were a good fit while it lasted. I hope he gets a decent job closer to home and has a chance to shine again.
