And it’s finally back. Spitting Image is back on our screens. https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-...trump-putin-zuckerberg?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other
Same. Will be brilliant if they can capture the magic of first time around. Bet it will be easy to make a puppet look like Farage.
Loads of material this time with the likes of Trump, Putin, Troudeau, Kim Jong Il, Johnson, Gove, Reece Mogg, Sturgeon, Corbyn, Abbott etc
In a sense it never went away - Dead Ringers on Radio 4 has being doing this kind of stuff for years, without the puppets, obviously
I hope Gove looks like Pob and his scenes are him just breathing on the screen and writing something.
The state of Boris Johnson, bumbling his way through speeches like he's in a crap Hugh Grant film, and the first person you think of is Corbyn? Okay.
Roger Law the creator said it was a P.IT.A. to make but it was the perfect time given the current situation. I remember reading that the 'eye-watering expense' for creating each puppet makes it very expensive to produce. Hoiwever, given the bunch of comedians we have residing on both sides of the House in Parliament as well as the likes of Nigel Farage, Mr 'doom and gloom' (AKA Governor of the BoE), and Trump, the script writers should have a very easy time.
It will be dire this time.. people will pull the I'm offended card. So they will tone it down so much just in case..
