Don't get me wrong, I don't want to see any club go out of business as a football fan but surely a deadline is there for the same reason.. Like teams missing out signing a player on deadline day by a couple of minutes.. It's either a deadline or it isn't.. Typical EFL.
EFL rules are made to be bent. Unless of course it is something really serious of like a missing signature on on loan transfer deal, you couldn’t possibly expect to them over look something as important as that now could you?
They don’t want to be seen as the bad guys by saying the deadline had passed so that’s that, I reckon they will give this new group time to do due diligence as well, but what happens if they decide it’s not viable too? but then another offer gets put in? Keep going indefinitely?
I thought it would be the administrator that decided who could buy the club not the present incumbent, I think that’s what happened with us so why havnt Bury been placed in admin ?
Raymond Tusk the character from House Of Cards, or Raymond Tusk the racehorse? Or a different Tusk? Like, say....Donald?
I might be wrong, but aren't the two clubs in different situations? Bolton is in administration, while the EFL has withheld Bury's participation due to lack of proof of funds to see out the season? That might be why they're different. The EFL is certainly not blameless in any regard, but I just don't get the vitriol directed their way from fans of these clubs. They've bent over backwards to let these teams find a way to compete this season - to the detriment of every other team in league one, and to those that would have been promoted/not relegated if these clubs hadn't competed last year. The EFL should have never let Anderson or Day take over the club? So they should have let your club go bust last time then?
I'm hearing should both Bury and Bolton be expelled from the league there is 2 Glasgow clubs quite willing to make up the numbers.
It'll never change... Just listened to a Look North Commentator (NE & Cumbria) Regarding Sunlun- "4 wins on the bounce, several US investors in attendance- hopefully ready to pump huge sums into the club" Regarding Salford- "to be expected as they have some serious money behind them" Not a clue
well if they do they will have to start at the entry level of the pyramid minimum. Or all hell would break loose
More offers being considered now. I know the EFL have to give these clubs every opportunity but in the case of Bolton in particular it has become farcical.
I hope at tonights Q&A that our owners and Conway dont get too much grief because Bolton and Bury are the exact reason we need to stick to the plan and spreadsheet even if we have a tough season sometimes.
Yet another 'there is absolutely nothing in between how we are run and how Bolton are run' post. Must be on quadruple figures now.
