    But really hope the old Bloke whos been missing since Friday is found safe and well
    80 year old with Dementia. Last seen in Lundwood heading up towards Cudworth apparently.
    Theres a photo on Facebook but av no idea how to post on here for people if they see him

    Male body found at Newmillerdam. Bit out of the way and probably not him, but sad regardless of who it is.

    Hope he is found safe and well. I used to work with his son and he and his family are worried sick (obviously). He seems to have been sighted in a lot of places but no official sighting since Friday i believe. He will either be sleeping rough somewhere because surely any family or friends he may have visited or attempted to visit would have called the police etc by now.

    If you are out and about please keep an eye out, as it seems he has been a lot of places, he could be sleeping in woodlands or anywhere.

    OFFICERS searching for missing Barnsley man Brian Tomlinson have found a body.

    At around 11.45am today, the body of a man was found by specialist search officers in Small Bridge Dyke on the Trans Pennine Trail.

    While formal identification has not yet taken place, officers do believe it to be that of 80-year-old Brian Tomlinson.


    Brian’s family have been notified and are being supported by specialist officers at this time.

    The death is not being treated as suspicious however officers remain in the area carrying out enquiries.

    South Yorkshire Police expressed thanks to the members of the local community who have assisted in the search for Brian.
