To be fair, everyone who went to the match knows that's not true. We would have seen it had that been the case.
Apparently it was because she was filming the match as she was one of their YouTube match vloggers, and the stewards were concerned she was live streaming the match on her phone. Whether this is true or not did it require 9 stewards going to deal with a 15 year old girl?
This is b@ll@cks. Firstly, that steward is top class. If you attend regularly you’ll note he’s the 6ft 6” supervisor who runs the entire length of the pitch to stop pitch invaders. He’s fast and takes no **** but is professional. He’s done nothing wrong here other than question and advise a spectator, which is what they are there for. No aggression, no shouting, just reasonable dialogue. And yes, when entering an away end, you probably do need that many stewards, just in case. It’s his job - and another reason why Social Media should be ignored. Pointless post on Twitter.
Looks like the steward was speaking to her reasonably, not being aggressive or a bully. He had abuse left right and centre but seemed to remain calm.
She still doesn't think she was doing wrong when it's well known filming games isn't allowed and reading her tweets since she seems to be enjoying the attention. I don't get why people want to be on their phone and not watching the game. When a free kick is in a good position or a penalty is about to happen, why would you want to get your phone out to film it anyway, instead of just watching normally? We can't hear what the steward was saying, but he dealt with it extremely well whilst being provoked by a big group of gents and their chants at him. Would we have gone up to a rowdy guy in say his 20s with his mates if he was doing what she was doing though? Anyone stewards see doing wrong should be dealt with as it shouldn't be a case of picking and choosing who will give you less problems if you approach them.
That’s the girl who did the joint Vlog on the game with Luke from Tykes TV I think. All a fuss over nothing much really . You can’t record on a video recorder but you can on your phone - or the Authorities turn a blind eye to the latter. Stupid rules but this is football so we should be used to it ( see new handball rule!)
