Maybe it is included in the "street food", I'm not sure @George Spicer would approve of that term.

Is this just for Home fans or am I missing something?

Home fans initially but away fans will be welcome on a case by case basis. I believe that’s the plan anyway

I'm reading that and wanting to be excited but really thinking what a load of pap. Good luck and thanks for trying something different but yeah well, good luck.

What were you expecting? Savanna Saint on hand to give you a free gobble?

You didn't just post that you hope it works. You think it's a load of pap.

So he's not really out of order.

The eventual proof however will be in the pudding. I was hoping for an enclosed space rather than a sideless gazebo. A choice of proper cask ales would sway the deal (which I doubt will be on offer). Unless you simply call a steel barrel a cask. Which would indeed be pap.

    (who is Savanah Saint btw?)

Have you ever been to Redfearn’s Bar? And who mentioned a sideless gazebo?

We’ve been pouring Acorn beers for five years. Only gets bigger and better from Saturday beer wise

Looks good. Ambitious with the 12 opening time I think though.

It was the mention of giant umbrellas above. Which tend to have no sides. Maybe it'll be a tent - I have no idea.

I have been to Redfearns but on every occasion I have had to wait outside before being let in, which tends to dampen ones enthusiasm. and let's face it, the place is not furnished for comfort. Plus it's a trek if you're emerging from the Monk Bretton country trail route to Oakwell.

One might have thought that entry to the ground might afford you the same delights, ale wise, that are to be found in Refearns.

Anyway, like Savannah Saint would (I suspect), our fanzone shall be sucked and seen.

That’s generally how I react to folk who make decisions on things without actually have any concept of what it’s going to be like.

The **** hasn’t even been put together yet and you’ve said it was going to be pap. Seems a bit weird to me.

There's also mention of a marquee if you read it again. Have you read the Press Release as well? http://bfcst.org.uk/bfcst-delighted-to-announce-opening-of-reds-fan-zone/

First Redfearn's Bar customers would be in the door at 12pm. Took five years to get it like that though.

Not expecting it to be full by then though which is why the scheduling really starts at 1pm.

Well I must admit if Alan Bloore is getting excited, then there might be something in it.

That seems fair then. I've never been redfearns so wouldn't know. Hope it works out and will be giving it a go. As long as I don't get carried away at ale house first. Or whatever it's called now.
