but always sensed it and liked it. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-49092119 and my Missus always says she can smell the cold when snow is coming.... but then again she is Welsh and a druid so does have a good grasp of the dark arts... oh bugger she is turning me into a frog again...ribbit..ribbit...ribbit (sigh oh well ... ribbitt)
I can always tell when storms are approaching, mist I do use this app. http://en.blitzortung.org/live_lightning_maps.php
People look at me weird when I say I can smell rain. I honestly don’t understand how people can not smell it, it’s like saying you can’t smell perfume someone’s just sprayed.
I agree totally, I do loads of long distance walking, and over the years I've learnt to detect oncoming rain by smell. It doesn't help much though, when it arrives I still get wet
True story this --- I forget the date, but I was stood near York Minster with my missus, on a trip to the City where we both studied at University. I said to her, I can smell a thunderstorm in the air. I assume you can guess what happened that night? - If only the Archbishop had listened to me, he could have added a few more earthing rods to the spires eh?
