People look at me weird when I say I can smell rain. I honestly don’t understand how people can not smell it, it’s like saying you can’t smell perfume someone’s just sprayed.

I agree totally, I do loads of long distance walking, and over the years I've learnt to detect oncoming rain by smell. It doesn't help much though, when it arrives I still get wet

True story this --- I forget the date, but I was stood near York Minster with my missus, on a trip to the City where we both studied at University. I said to her, I can smell a thunderstorm in the air. I assume you can guess what happened that night? - If only the Archbishop had listened to me, he could have added a few more earthing rods to the spires eh?
