did I miss any questions to do with Moore? Typical has it kept jumping when stendel was getting questioned
Said everyone wants to see how the season goes which is a lie. Doubt the fans or board want to see how the season goes. He should have just said he wants to see how the season goes. It didn't sound like he would sign anytime soon if at all. He got asked it by a lady supporter at about ten to seven if you want to listen back when it's put online and judge the manner he answered in.
Didn't listen to it myself, but from the comments I've read in this thread, it doesn't look very promising which is a real shame. We can only hope we have a good season and he decides to stay put.
At end of the day we can’t compete against likes of Sheffield clubs or even Brentford or Even teams like Oldham gillingham scunny and Tamworth
So all these recent rumours about Stendel signing a new contract (was supposed to have been announced this week) have now been put to bed...
One huge clue i'd say is that Daniels family haven't moved over. So that alone would suggest its not his long term plan to stay here. Dale Tonge last week raised an eyebrow when he said that Daniel was encouraging him to talk to agents and get involved in transfers. Daniel signed a 2 year deal and id expect him to honour that, but then leave to return home next summer. And Dale to be groomed in between now and then replace him. next year..
If the season doesn't go as we would like n we are struggling by Xmas people will be saying stendles signings are garbage n it's time we sacked him I really hope it doesn't n I don't think it will but that's the reality of how peoples views change in football I would like the manager to sign a new contract but not sure why some people think its the be all and end all
Agree.. Also professional football players and managers/coach come and go.. its a transient industry. Look this stat.. Mama Thiam is our current player with most appearances with 83.. Looking at football for any kind of stability, is like using clouds as direction markers
That’s the exact succession plan I reckon. Can’t blame Daniel though when the players he’s building a team are just sold on and he’s expected to replace them with just as inexperienced players in a higher division.
Precisely This ‘strategy’ needs to be built on solid foundations The foundations are just sold at every stage of the build. It’s like Groundhog Day.
Isn't that the long-term plan? But its going to take another 3 seasons of signing players on 4-year contracts to get to a point where we only have a small proportion of the squad falling out of contract at the same time?
Come on folks lets be realistic. You are an out of work manager and offered a 2 year contract in a foreign country. Knowing that most managers only last just over one season you would be wise to see how things pan out before committing to a longer contact. He is now entering another phase into the unknown but I believe he will see his contract out and depending upon how the season goes and how comfortable he feels he may opt to stay longer. A factor will be his family, maybe they are OK with him working away and maybe they are not. I like Daniel but just like the players, managers come and go. I will always be a Red until dead but I don't expect him to be the same.
His children are teenagers so no doubt doing or near to doing public exams. I think that may well be the reason the family hasnt moved over. I'm sure they'd have come over if the children were younger as it would he a good opportunity to improve their English and experience a different country.
