The last time I felt this high was when we signed a load and this site was bouncing. 1st game of the season we got hammered 4 nil at home to Coventry. I really hope we hit the ground running. Which might be difficult with so many new faces. I understand selling. But hoped we would gradually. 1 or 2 a window. So many new faces to gel. I truly hope it pays off. Not meant to be negative. But say cautiously optimistic
The fans need to understand we may have a few issues early on. Look at Norwich they had loads of new lads, shocking start but won the league.
Valid point. It’s going to be a difficult task getting all these new players singing from the same hyme sheet. BUT We have the man to do it in Danny Boy.
Fulham is a very tough first game, almost like it was a fix though. Newly relegated vs. newly promoted? Eh, bring them all on. We are the best team win, lose or draw.
Nowt wrong with been excited. I’m looking forward to seeing all the new lads play. No idea how good many of them are, the only one I’ve noticed before is Wilks & only seen him about 3 times & he’s the one with a court case hanging over him. I must’ve see Thomas as well but can’t remember noticing him. Can’t comment on whether we’ve done good business or not but just excited to see them all play
Fulham is the ideal first game. They're expected to walk over us, so if they do weve not really lost much, however if we win, can you inaginenthe confidence the fans and players will have? This league is tight, theres not much in it. Momentum will take you far, and fingers crossed a good result against Fulham will just give us a huge boost.
Remember the first game In second tier after promotion with Hunters team and we also played a newly relegated side in white shirts black shorts in Bolton . We rolled them over 3-0 and they had some very good household names in their side at the time and it could’ve Been five or six .
We come into division with new recruits. No negative Nigel in charge. Owt 'll be an improvement on holding out for 1-0 defeat. Hecky you miserable sack of sheet. Stay up in Scotland I dont think i could take anymore turgid *****
