Surprised to see two votes for Thiam. Not that he was bad, far from it. But those two misses in the first half looked pretty horrendous.
I didnt vote for him, He should have scored the header but the other were the keeper got a leg to it was abit unlucky he brought a great save from.their keeper 2nd half and gave the full back a tough afternoon won about 30 corners and we eventually scored from one.
Looking beyond the odd bit of magic Pinnock was immence all game. For me the most valuable player at the club.
He did a lot of very good things, combined with the two misses and a couple of wayward crosses. Typical Thiam really. The header looked very straightforward, the chance which was saved less so, though I thought he should have probably tried to lift it over the keeper. Easy to say from here though. In any case, they were nothing compared with Moore's miss from underneath the crossbar in the second half!
I thought Bahre was okay, lots of twirling round and neat short passes but he seems to get flustered anywhere near the box and mislays passes, dallies with his shots and when he does shoot it's inevitably a weak one. Doesn't really hurt the opposition enough for me, yet. Still a zillion light years ahead of Moncur though and me having said what I've just said he will definitely score the winner next week. I thought Pinnock and Mowatt were excellent and talking to Blackpool fans after the game, they just said to a man that nobody has made Gnanduillet look as outclassed and ineffectual as Pinnock did to him in that second half. So big Ethan for me.
Bahre gets my vote. He did three crazy bits of classy looking skill in the first five minutes alone. Blackpool simply had no answer for him. Feet quick enough to be lead male in a Riverdance production.
Bahre for me too. He finds space where there isn’t any, his technical ability is fantastic and it was his best game for us by a country mile.
I find this one tough, the nerves, excitement and looking at other results I’m finding it hard to remember individual performances.
Bahre for me. Although I thought Mowatt and McGeehan were absolutely superb too, did a lot of work breaking up play and allowed us to dominate and create like we did.
Now updated. Bonus points still to be awarded: Top scorer Most assists Defender appearing in most games with clean sheet.
Well done for looking after this all season mate. You've earned your reward in football heaven PS I'm not suggesting we should alter the scoring system at this late stage, but the bonus categories all seem to work against Davies (unless he's counted as a defender?). Perhaps we could add penalty saves in a season as an extra for next year? Not that we've had any... Or did we?
No worries Davies has already been awarded 10 bonus points for keeping 15 clean sheets. I think we awarded him a bonus for Portsmouth one save though can’t remember.
