Indeed. In terms of finishing and goal scoring ability, I’d say he’s up there with the best I’ve seen here in the last few years. I have high hopes he can do it at the level above too once we get there, all being well of course.
I didn’t get to see Jan Aage as I didn’t start going regularly until about 2003 ish. Cauley is up there with the best I’ve seen. His transfer looks like a real coup for us, let’s hope he keeps it up.
In my opinion, his strike for the first goal was class. Otherwise, today, he was greedy, slow and inaccurate. So there.
He absolutely slaughtered Thiam the other week for shooting instead of passing to him in a better position, today the boot is on the other foot and the lad he didn’t pass to was Moore. Got to admire his confidence but at the same time practice what you preach
Only slight criticism from me his that he needs to see that sometimes other players are better placed to score than him. One example being when Moore played him in the 2nd half. We had 3 players free if he squared the ball. Otherwise got a cracking finish on him when it looks like nothing much is on.
Woodrow is the best finisher we've had at the club for a long while. Winnall was a better sniffer, but he didn't have the same range. Moore could be a League above easily if shot wise he was half a second less impulsive.
Woodrow is much better than Moore. Positioning, pace, movement, awareness and he can put a metric $hit-ton of power through the ball without having to draw his foot back too much, his snap shots are blistering.
