Guess that’s why online sales taken off. Do hope we don’t sell out with 6000 unused seats.

If the Ponty and East are sold out, hope common sense prevails and turnstiles are ticket only. Anyone wanting to pay cash should be directed straight round to North side of West. Let's pack the place

I wonder how many people will have been thinking about going but decided against it as they feel they won't get in.
This problem of thousands of unusable seats really does need addressing.

I'm not going today. Tried buying a ticket for the Ponty last night but it timed out and removed my ticket from the basket each time. Spent almost two frustrating hours on it. I would have sat in my usual seat as one of my relations who has a juvenile season ticket won't be going. Not sitting in the rain on my own.

For there to be talk of people going into the away end, when there's thousands of unused seats, is surely counter productive from a safety point of view.

Can’t wait for the moans to kick in properly...

The club should obviously have spent tens, probably hundreds of thousands of pounds, maybe more, getting the north side of the west stand back to a useable - and certified as safe - stand.

For the one game it might have been used and when it isn’t (yet) solely the club’s property to develop.

    Sound business sense that...

Sorry, if you usually pay on the gate but can’t today, hard luck.

It’s sold out, or very nearly at least. You could have purchased tickets weeks ago, if there were reasons you couldn’t do this, be they financial or not knowing if you had other commitments, that’s unfortunate. But it’s the last home game of the regular season, we have a lot riding on it, and so relying on cash entry on the day was at best a bit optimistic, and arguably a bit daft.

The north stand will be 90% empty and the west stand probably 50% empty. But the costs involved in making both of these spaces available to home fans, given the lack of facilities, make it completely unviable when it’s not been needed prior to today, and it wouldn’t have made any economic sense whatsoever to even try.

As far as I know it isn’t quite completely sold out all this said. Turn up, try and pay in. If you can’t, walk into tarn or whatever and go in a boozer. Show your support.

Today isn’t a day to club-bash; in my view nobody has any right to on this issue anyway.

Most should have their tickets now. I guess only 10’s of people actually arsed to go would come even if tickets were available. Not enough to open up the other parts.

We’ve got to lift the lads today! I’m sure it will be an amazing atmosphere.. COYR!

Well you and Jay make two then.
It's ridiculous. We have a board that's aim is to expand the fanbase and yet someone, somewhere is holding the club back.
There are thousands of seats regularly unused whenever we have a big match.
The West stand terrace is certainly not somewhere I'd want to sit in bad weather while covered seating in the North is unused week in week out.
It's about time OUR ground was utilised for the benefit of OUR fans.
I was watching the game back from the Shrewsbury game and it struck me that our lads are walking out into a stadium where only two and a half sides of it are holding our own supporters.
    Some asses need kicking somewhere.

The tunnel doesn't help when we come out at our own ground the furthest away they can possibly be from our own fans.

How do you know how many people are put off by there being only crap seats left. There's two said so this morning in our small community alone.

While some of what you say makes sense, the North Stand was designed and built exactly so it could be split between home and away fans whenever the need arose. The fact that it will be half empty today, while Barnsley fans couldn't get into other parts of the ground, is both bewildering and unacceptable.

The North stand was built with segregation. I sat there for the second half of the Bassett play-off season. I really like it, it's steeper than The Ponty with more leg room. View is excellent. Can't for the life of me think why it would cost tens or hundreds of thousands to open half of that to home fans.

But they would have been empty anyway .
Demand had to be regularl not a one off game .
If these seats had been available all season they would have been empty barring a couple hundred extra today .
Can’t really kick the club for not spending xxxxx amount or even xxxxxxx amount for customers that want to make one game tbh , if it had been three or four times in the season I could agree with you .

This doesn’t apply to the North Stand though does it.

Facilities are up and running and fully used when bigger teams come I.e when Sunderland came. All that would need is the netting adjusting surely and some more turnstile operatives on the East Side of it.

Today’s not about the money within reason - it’s about the result.....
