at the end of the day its just a game. There's folks out there with a lot worse things on their plates to worry and fret about. I know I'd have traded my last two months for a few crappy football results!
I feel the same after battling Prostate C but if we weren't feeling dissaointed when we lose we may as well not bother supporting them.
Last week our very heavily pregnant daughter-in-law (the baby is due in the coming days) was rushed into hospital due to complications. We've only just got back home from Chester, where our son's family lives. So football pales into insignificance at times like this. I'm fully aware, though, this is nothing like what you and your family have had to cope with recently.
tbf I was actually counting on the footy for a lift, should have known better, I've supported us for long enough to know better
Disappointing afternoon, but you're right worse things happen at sea etc. Besides which, we are in the playoffs unless we lose all our games and Peterborough win all theirs (and pretty well all the teams in between). So let's all look forward to Wembley again.
Deep down, I genuinely feared for us today, but tried putting any negative thoughts behind me, in the hope we might just get a result. What's happened today has happened. We've now got to remain as positive as we can as we approach the final few games of the season. Got a feeling that there are going to be a few more twists and turns before we know who's going up with Luton and which teams will be in the play offs. As I've said previously, if we do end up in the play offs and we can qualify for the final, I would fancy us against any other team at Wembley.
No matter how bad things are - they are NOT made any better if your team falls short of the winning post. They are made worse.
What ! Take a chill pill dude . Have a couple of skips and watch a good feel / comedy film /listen to some blues .
