Big bench to have 12 subs to select from these days.

So Hedges works hard, gets man of the match and is rewarded by being benched? That just makes no sense at all.

There are better players ahead of him, simple as that. One of which has scored today

If nothing else, Hedges gets to train around Bale, that can only benefit him and us.

I read somewhere after their moderate success a couple of years ago that Wales have a team of scouts courting promising young English players that have a slight family connection to Wales to get them to sign up before they potentially get a cap with England.

As do the Irish and Scottish.

Fair enough, if it’s within the rules then let them crack on.

    Strange though don’t you think?

Wonder if players like Brooks who probably got called up by wales when he was in sheff Utds team is regretting that decision now given that we are giving youth a chance a hell of a lot more now? Suppose they’ve made their bed like but I just find it odd, majority of them probably wouldn’t have classed themselves of anything other than English until the call up. Big respect to people like Rice for making that decision would’ve been easier to play for Ireland every single time.

But I suppose no rules have been broken so it’ll always happen, that said Germany have had a World Cup win full of foreigners in 2014.
