In 1968 the ITV regons strated showing highlights for the first time as you can imagine each region focused on their own teams for e.g Yorkshires main sides at the time , Leeds, Sheff United, Granada Man u & City etc. It wasn't until the 29th of March 1969 that Barnsley were featured in a game against Tranmere Rovers at Oakwell. As we struggled into the next decade Barnsley only featured a few times untill the early 80s where we became a major attraction for YTV. I was at that game. Remember vividly Ali Millar's up and over free kick that nestled dead in the bottom corner of Donny's net.
I compiled the Those Were The Days montage on YouTube and still have footage from all the games featured on there, including the Doncaster and Sheff Wed away games in 1978 and 1979. Some of it is stuck on my old Toshiba VCR/DVD/HDD Combi though, which isn't responding to all the remote's commands at the moment.

Doncaster is just the goals I think and the Wednesday game is the highlights from The Big Game or whatever YTV were calling it at the time. I'm hoping I just need a new remote, but the one I have is a replacement which I haven't had long.
