Whatever, if none of my points that we should set ourselves to a higher standard then others have made you think "maybe we should have her back?" Then please address the failings in my arguments. If you believe in certain circumstances countries can argue they can unilaterally disown their citizens feel free to explain how his that would work on a on going basis, or is the UK just special?

 

You probably drank alcohol at fifteen knowing it was wrong. You probably didn't murder anyone or join a terrorist organisation at fifteen though.

I don't agree with much of what she says but she isn't a murderer or a paedo. Just because we don't agree with somebody doesn't mean they should be ignored - you beat people through debate. The point she raises in this video is valid even if you don't like her rhetoric.

 

We've already established a country cannot legally disown its citizens. We could make an argument for this but I doubt it would get anywhere. When she arrives in the UK she should be immediately arrested and interrogated. We'll take it from there.

You implied in your post that the idea of her being sent back was not clear cut, you have now made it clear you are in favour of her return to face justice here, so you don't agree with Hopkins original assertion, good man!

If you're going to quote people you should try to use the quote properly. You're entitled to your opinion, even if it is a minority opinion, but I think you're a very long way from winning any debate on this subject. Using the race card and Tommy Robinson comparisons hardly got you off to a good start.

I do think she would be convicted yes, but she hasn’t been through that yet.
In this country you are innocent until proven guilty, that’s a basic statute of our laws.

I have no time for what she has done and hope she gets everything she deserves. I also don’t like the idea of her being kept at our expense either, but the minute we allow laws to be bypassed is the first step of anarchy.

 

It doesn’t matter if I’m the only person who holds the opinion, the validity of an argument isn’t based on how popular it is.

1. Do you believe countries should be able to disown their citizens?
2. Do you believe justice should be administered through the courts or via Katie Hopkins/gut feeling/baying mobs/Some other system based on as yet unspecified rules?

So.... A 15 year old child is groomed online by terrorists, brainwashed, spends 4 years in a war zone seeing beheadings and deaths. She's made pregnant three times by said terrorists (possibly under age, possibly against her will), two of the children die, ends up on her own in a refugee camp, wants to come home and the reaction of "reasoned people" replying on a bulletin board thousands of miles away with no experience of it is that she's guilty and should be thrown her in jail,or worse.

Had it been a 15 year old working class white girl in the same position, I'd wager the anger would be directed at the scummy Muslim terrorists who brainwashed her into it rather than the 15 year old girl herself. This whole thread smacks of... how should I say it.... People using her as a handy vessel through which to direct their pent up anger.
