Aww thats a shame, I did like that show and I always wished his character 'Richard' would have snapped at Hyacinth a few more times.
And speaking of the Swift family btw, did anybody used to watch the Drop the dead donkey news sitcom ?.
Well the character of Henry Davenport on there was played by Clive's brother, David Swift, and sadly hes also no longer with us!. :(

    RIP
Always enjoyed watching Keeping Up Appearances, it was one of those safe-but-silly comedy shows that you could watch with the kids. The kids loved it too. Sadly they don't seem to make those kind of shows any more.

It never clicked that those two were related, nor did I know he was no longer with us. He of course, also was in Going Straight, the sequel to Porridge, which always surprised me.

Keeping Up Appearances and The Brittas Empire - two absolute classics of my childhood which are still just as hilarious today. Timeless comedy.

Hey here is David Swift doing what he did best by the way..
Henry Davenport was ace as the randy old news reporter, and he didn't give a shoite at the end of the day did he, about any politician lol.
