Thanks for the link. OMG their goal was f****ng appalling. No excuses from pro players to concede a goal like that. Started with the player throwing it directly back to their man, put it a couple of yards to his side so he has to move not hard and won't get a booking, and the entire defence and midfield being asleep. Plus point, it made Pinnock look silly so any potential suitors( if they are out there) may think less of him now.

Our defence was laid bare by the quick thinking and ability to thread a precise through ball of.....McNulty!!

From where I was watching there was little doubt that Pinnock wasn't paying attention.

But it was good football from a team who showed great spirit and perhaps deserved something for their efforts. They certainly didn't just come to defend.

Excellent work by both, especially Brown’s turn & pass. Williams all round display though was a MoM performance today.

Nice touch and turn by Brown for the second, he really created that.

I thought McNulty had an excellent game.

    Agree.

I’ve never understood why so many Barnsley fans give him stick & say he’s ****. ‘McNumpty’ & all that.

He had a really good first season for us, even won one of the player of the season awards.

Struggled a bit with injuries in his second season with us & didn’t play as much as his first year but certainly wasn’t a bad signing

My own opinion differs, he was quite possibly one of the worst defenders I’ve ever witnessed, and he played in the same team as wiseman! The truth probably lays somewhere in the middle however and he was bang average, Actually Tom Williams was the worst defender but that’s not about this thread, to be fair to mcnulty injuries didn’t help him at times

My recollection was that McNulty often had a mistake in him (funnily enough, a bit like Lindsey at times) - he also played as a holding midfielder a few times & I thought he was excellent there. Good luck to him, Keef & Rochdale- a proper football club
