What a goal it was. Well in Cauley.

Great save by Davies too. Would’ve made it nervy had they scored there and made it 2-1.

Yes. Great second goal. Looks like we could or should have had a couple more but 2-0 and what looked like a decent performance sets us up nicely for the Charlton game.

    Thanks for the highlights, PoR.

Both my sons said Woodrow's goal was Hammill-esque.

And what a save from Davies!!

I’d agree with all that except the ‘it didn’ Curl’ bit. Was at the left hand side of the Ponty and we saw it bend right over the Keeper - at pace. What a fantastic goal from a real quality player.

    Funny thing was. . .

I was sat there thinking, i haven't seen a goal this season where I have said " wow that was amazing"

4 minutes later Cauley scored a screamer and I said " wow wow wow"

Did they interview him after the match.
His reaction to the goal seemed very odd laughing and putting his hands over his face.
Was it supposed to be a curling cross for the forwards that was over hit.

when he cut inside he touched the ball too far in front of him, his body position was just in front of the ball and he had to reach stretch to hit it and the ball bobbled just as he hit it.
doesn't matter but not convinced what was in his head was exactly the final outcome.

I was under orders yesterday and had to go out so missed the game. However, you only have to see the brief highlights to know that the build up play is excellent and the players need to develop a bit more composure in front of goal (Cauley Woodrow excepted)
Whilst Jimmy Cricket and I agree on very little on non-footy matters, he is 100% correct in something he posted very recently i.e. At some point this season we are going to give a team a right pasting!! It was encouraging we didn't miss Moore and someone posted we looked more coordinated without him. I look forward to the extended highlights.
Whilst you cannot read too much into one game I think the Luton match will be a good marker as to where our season is heading. I genuinely believe automatic promotion is not beyond the capabilities of this squad and manager. Portsmouth looked distinctly average- we should really have taken 3 points - and they dropped 3 points yesterday to a mid table side. If (and it is a big if) we in our game in hand AND beat Luton it's 'game on' and anything (even including the title) is possible. COYR.
