........ yes I know there is already a post about this but what I have to say here I wanted it to be seen and not buried inside that thread. The podcast FINALLY puts to bed many many discussions on here about Heckys time at the club. Key points: 1) We beat Birmingham 0-3 at their ground in December 2016 and with a couple of new recruits in January, like Reading and Huddersfield did, then we were in a great position in the Championship, so why not consider promotion into the Premeir. Instead we sold the basis of our team in January 2017. 2) Hecky was constantly arguing with Patrick Cryne because the club wasn’t been run right with regards to sales and recruitment. The fire sale in January 2017 was a result of that. Poor poor management of the club by Patrick Cryne. 3) The situation with GANAYE got so bad that if any decent club had come in he would have left. Ganaye recruiting players Hecky didn’t know about etc. That’s an incredible statement - and shows real deviancy by our beloved CEO. So NO !!! - as I thought and said (on here and BBC Radio Sheffield) - Hecky was intentionally pushed out of the club by Ganaye. Hecky DID NOT leave Barnsley for Leeds because he thought it was a better club. Ganaye - killed the goose that laid the golden eggs. This will hang heavy and burden his time at Oakwell now what ever happens in the future. I’m both extremely saddened and extremely annoyed after listening to that podcast.
Glad to finally read your views on Hecky and Ganaye and in a new thread too. Thought you'd have gave your opinion on them by now.
PLEASE PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO ME. I DONT LIKE POSTING IN OTHER THREADS SO I HAVE TO CREATE MY OWN. TALK ABOUT ME. LOOK AT ME. ME. ME. ME.
Could admin please merge the threads? For practical reasons, obviously, but also 'cos it would piss him off.
ME ME ME ME ME LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME I HAVE THINGS TO SAY LOOK AT ME ME ME ME Fixed your post for you.
The other thread didn’t have that many posts for yours to get lost. Besides, it’s not as if we haven’t heard the same opinions a million times before.
An opinion based on the version of events by a currently unemployed manager who seems very desperate for everyone to know that nothing was his fault.
I don’t know whether you and some others on here know this ...... but there’s a huge difference between opinions and FACTS. My suspicions (and suspicions of others) have now been confirmed as FACTS. And I do realise that the confirmation of these suspicions is going to make some, on the jealousy side of things, quite upset - but give credit where credit is due.
There is two sides to every story, and just because Hecky has said something does not meat it is gospel. Please note, I'm not actually saying that Hecky is lying or twisting things. Just that it is not an uncommon occurrence for someone in football play hard and fast with the truth to make themselves look better.
This has to be irony. Surely. Please? Incorrect. Been confirmed as the opinion of someone else. You’re an idiot. There’s your credit.
Nothing from Ganaye in relation to why he was pursuing and buying players without the coach/manager knowing about it. I’ll believe Hecky. Until others say anything contrary. But whispers from the club and what Hecky is saying all line up. Hecky was stitched up by Ganaye.
I find it quite incredible that you so strongly point out the difference between an opinion and fact - and then take everything Heckingbottom has said (which is very different to what has come from other sources) to be pure facts. Does it not occur to you that maybe, just maybe, everything Paul Heckingbottom says isn’t necessarily true, or at least not the 100% truth? Or at least that it merely represents his version and vision of events, which others will differ with and recall differently? No, it’s the gospel... Bizarre, though actually not for you. Your agenda against Ganaye (and the one to make out Hecky is some kind of modern day saint) is almost as virulent as the ones on here against Adam Davies in certain quarters. I’m neither in the ‘Hecky was shi.te and is a knob’ nor the ‘Hecky was the best thing since sliced bread’ camp. He had his team sold from under him, it was a poor decision from a purely footballing point of view. But we don’t and will never know the full context. After that his results were awful. He got progressively more negative in his demeanour and team selections. When he left he’d been average to poor for a while. I still think he’d have kept us up that said. He sounds very bitter and self serving these days. That is a shame as in a few years when the dust had settled more on the Leeds move, he’d surely have been held in high regard again much as Danny Wilson was and is after years of the ‘judas’ jibes. You need to rein yourself in a bit nudge, why do you crave attention so much?
Unless I've missed something it seems to me that Young Nudger has the same right as any other member to start a new thread. Folks don't have to read a second thread on the same subject if they don't want to. It may be that YN feels that his thread has a different slant to it. Although I've often disagreed with Nudge I have some sympathy with his views on this subject. I find myself asking what is it that the CEO or the new owners have brought to the club? We are a division lower, with a poorer squad and our promotion hopes have taken a knock of late.
It's the way he goes about it. There are no "facts" in pretty much 99% of what he writes. He was posting 'fact' the other day about FFP. Loses all credibility IMO.
Not like you this Nudger to post one sided stories and opinions and dress them up as fact. Or take any opportunity you can to run down Ganaye. Or have to create your own thread because you feel your opinion is worth more then the other people who have already posted in that thread. Are you feeling okay?
I always take what one person tells me as fact without considering the other side of the argument. Then I get angry and start apportioning blame. I voted 'leave,' by the way.
