My fear for the season is that we have been found out defensively - Grant McCann publicly announced his plans about our ‘runs forward, jogs back’ right back - and also that we will lose players in January. Potts having a couple of quiet games might do us good if it was closer to January, and I think we are all expecting bids for Kieffer.

We were always going to lose games with a young squad, it will be difficult for Portsmouth and Sunderland to sustain their form so we could still finish top two comfortably. I’m just shitting myself over what January will bring, it could make or break our season. Do we keep everyone (in the first team that is) and add, do we stick, do we sell the family silver again?

I suspect at least one key player will leave.

Reminder that we conceded 1 in 4 league games before last night.

Hence saying I fear we’ve been found out. We had been doing well in terms of restricting the opposition, but now our opponents have wised up and get many more chances.

I.E. the weak link is now well known and starting to be exploited. We conceded 1 in 4, correct. How many would a better, less wasteful and less needlessly offside team than donny have scored in the last of those 4? Let’s be honest we did well to draw that game in the end.

We’ve now conceded 5 in 2, and looking at the chances wasted by both donny and the mackems it could easily have been 7 or 8.

We’ve gone from 3 clean sheets in a row in the league to looking defensively suspect.

You’re right Conan. We have no good players, nobody worth keeping.

In fact, they’re all that shi.te that nobody will bid for any of them anyway. I’m worrying over nothing.

Thanks for sorting that out for us all.

Iv no problem with selling in January as long as we replace with better, theres only Moore and Pinnock who i believe should be 100% not for sale. I cant think of anyone else who is untouchable.

    Slight over reaction.

    Who do you fear losing?

I would tentatively add Woodrow to that list.

    I'd add Mowatt and Dougall.

Pinnock, Potts and Moore. Possibly Lindsay.

Can’t see there being much clamour for many others but we’d miss all of the above massively.

Mowatt has just signed a new deal, Dougall hasn’t played enough to attract higher level vultures and is injured possibly beyond January. Can’t see them getting many bids. Woodrow is possibly better than them all - but we will be buying him, not selling. That deal is done isn’t it?

Unfortunately it will be those two attracting most attention I think.

Maybe Potts too, but as much is I love brad, if I had to lose one of the three it would have to be him.

And whoever does leave, we won’t replace with better, it will likely be younger and cheaper.

The only player I think we may get bids for is Moore based on his goals record. I can't imagine any Championship club paying big money for any other of our players. Then again, I can't believe Ipswich signed Kayden Jackson so owt could happen.

We will have to turn bids down for Moore, Pinnock,Mowat and Potts even if they are cheeky low price bids because clubs will still think they can get our player's for next to nothing. Hopefully the management and owners have already seen what we require for the rest of the season and beyond and are already looking at and possibly sounding out agents.

And moore and pinnock are the only two players anyone will bid for. I think we can keep hold of pinnock cos no one is coming in with stones type money yet but i think bradshaw was wanted by championship clubs then moore will defo be on his way. 3m will balance the spreadsheet quite nicely id say. Then bring a cheap loan striker to replace him.....
