    I always thought it was pronounce "why comb" until I heard in on telly being pronounced as "wiccumb". I guess and Englishman would know better than I do, so I stand corrected.

    Do what you will with this information, but it still seems to have more content than the rest of this topic.

    I get where you’re coming from on this mate, I was listening to talk sport the other Day and they were disscussing Leeds Utd and never once did they pronounce it DIR TY

    I never understood why they shortened the team's name. The name of the town is High Wycombe. Perhaps they never imagined they would gain the dizzy heights of the Third Division :)
